CONFERENCE DAY 1: Sheri will present, “The Moral Obligation of Technology: Including Vulnerable and Underserved Populations” on Wednesday, May 18 from 10:50 – 11:20 AM EST.

SESSION DESCRIPTION:

Technology is an embedded part of our everyday lives and is generally thought to make those lives easier. With the onset of COVID, much has changed in how business operates and entrepreneurs are scrambling to do what they do best – disrupt current industry models. But that disruption is coming at huge costs to our mental health, our safety, and our moral judgements, for us and future generations. As a consequence, it’s amplifying the divide between the “haves, and the have nots.”

As women leaders, we can use our compassion, emotional intelligence, and our caretaking capacity as a position of strength to ensure technology is held accountable to strict moral standards while disrupting the norms in ways that consider benefits to all..
