She Is U Inc. It is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide supportive services that include mental health, transitional housing, employment resources, and education that build self-esteem, improve relationships, and lead to a more productive life.

As a survivor, our founding President, Shakina Rush, has first-hand experience of all three. Shakina dedicated her life to spread awareness and offer support to women looking for solutions and overcoming their circumstances. Now, Shakina is applying her skills and passion for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual abuse, and sexual assault to change lives.

This time has been difficult for all individuals, personally and professionally. Women have been the most impacted by Covid-19 as it relates to business and career.

A bigger problem that impacts our livelihood is domestic violence, sexual molestation, and sexual assault. According to the recent report by Ortner Center on Violence and Abuse of the University of Pennsylvania, domestic violence against women has become an increasing concern among Philadelphia experts since the ongoing pandemic has begun.
