DV LEAP, a project of Volare, is a national leader in appellate advocacy on behalf of survivors. When survivors of domestic violence, dating abuse, sexual assault, or stalking face harmful or unjust outcomes in court, DV LEAP helps them take the next step — by appealing.

An appeal is a way to ask a higher court to review a decision made by a lower court (like a trial court). DV LEAP supports survivors in this process by providing experienced legal representation, writing amicus briefs to inform the court, and connecting survivors and attorneys with the resources and guidance they need. Survivors can come to us directly, and attorneys can consult with us on tough cases involving family and domestic violence.
